This lesson touches upon one of the critical themes in all of personal ministry, our ability to welcome and accept new believers into the body of Christ, and then to provide them with tender, loving care, the same care that a nursing mother or a protective father would provide their own cherished child. All species of ministry demand this kind of loving, sacrificial care, and now it is time to consider your own life in light of this kind of care and loving service. To connect these principles to your life will demand the highest level of honest evaluation and openness to the Holy Spirit’s searching of your own heart motive and personal character. This is your opportunity to go beyond merely the biblical descriptions and make a personal life and/or ministry connection to your own life, a connection that you will continue to ponder and apply throughout this next week. Search your own life and ministry before the Lord. What particular insights is the Holy Spirit suggesting to you in light of the insights in this lesson that relate to your own development and growth as a leader for him?
