Summary With the change in social contexts around the world, we believe that God is raising an army of disciple makers to minister to the broken right where they live. We are equipping thousands of workers to do effective ministry at a fraction of the cost and trouble of traditional Christian education. They can access our training without going into debt or leaving their home and ministry.

The Problem Today Traditional training has many challenges . . . • Inadequate: Only 5% of the world’s Christian workers/pastors receive Bible training, and even if we filled every school, the number would only grow another 1%. • Too expensive: To equip 1missionary for every 100 unreached people would require 73 million workers at a cost of $3 trillion (rivaling the US budget)! • Excludedby admission requirements: Most emerging leaders do not qualify academically. • Inaccessible: Traditional Bible and seminary training is not offered in poor neighborhoods. • Culturally irrelevant: Much of traditional curriculum does not address challenges of the poor.

Our Better Alternative • TUMI multiplies qualified Gospel workers to serve in communities of poverty. • We own 25 years of experience in innovative urban poor Christian leadership development. • We equip pastors and church planters to serve Christ in places where traditional missionaries cannot serve. • While it can cost up to $100,000 annually to deploy aWestern missionary, we can train a Gospel worker for around $50 per month. • The Capstone Curriculum , our 16-course seminary-level program, is historically orthodox, practical, and geared toward oral learners. • We equip churches and networks to form satellites with a turnkey administration, having grown from 12 satellites in 2006 to 310 (as of April 2020). • We do consultations and design resources, events, and programming for denominations, church and ministry networks, and local churches. • We can resource God-called churches and their workers anywhere on earth, whether urban or rural, or from northern or southern hemisphere. • We empower churches and movements to provide tailor-made certification to affirm their leaders – church members, disciples makers, church planters, and others – who require formal recognition and training.
