OUR BIG, HOLY, AUDACIOUS GOAL No institution on earth has greater ability to transform and impact society than the Church. It is the very Body and Bride of Christ, the pillar and ground of the truth, and the guardian of the Gospel. Our BHAG (Big, Holy, Audacious Goal) is to see a healthy church in every community of poverty. With the establishment of the church in that community, we have the potential to share the Gospel with neighbors, see personal and social transformation through its members, and to sense the presence of God’s Kingdom in its locale. Truly, nothing has greater impact for change than a healthy church established in a troubled community.

MEMOS OF UNDERSTANDING We partner with denominations, churches andministry networks, and local churches to engage in innovative and aggressive ministry projects aimed at reaching their cities for Christ. We join with them in Memos of Understanding (MOUs) designed to specify how our World Impact programs can be used to train and equip their church planters, pastors, and Christian workers to do effective ministry in underserved neighborhoods. OUR ACADEMIC CONNECTIONS As a member of the Association of Biblical Higher Education’s non-accredited class of institutions, we affirm our voluntary non-accreditation status. We remain non-accredited to give full access of our seminary-level training to students who otherwise could not qualify for such instruction. We have formed partnerships with schools and seminaries which offer our graduates credit toward the completion of their own degree programs ( www.tumi.org/accreditedpartners ).

World Impact 2.0 With its fresh vision and resolve to see a healthy church in every community of poverty, World Impact’s commitment to transform communities together is needed like never before. TUMI’s role in that vision is strategic. As World Impact continues to explore ways to reach the cities of the world with the Gospel, TUMI will continue to produce affordable, solid resources to see churches planted in under-resourced communities everywhere!

Memos of Understanding (MOUs) We form unique relationships with partners to see God work in new areas and places. We signed our first Memo of Understanding with Urban Ministries, Inc., in 2013 to make our resources available through their denominational contacts.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith Published

Formal Partnership with Prison Fellowship Began This strategic partnership allowed us to launch a pilot program to bring TUMI from a handful of prisons to 32 California state prisons. Since then, the number of our sites in prisons and county/local jails has more than doubled.

Received Grant to Expand Our Satellite Network This grant allowed us to grow from 15 satellites to more than 150.

This book is a follow-up curriculum as well as a prerequisite to Capstone that is being used by pastors and leaders to disciple new believers.
