Kingdom Texts in the Old Testament (continued)

Ps. 22.27-28 (ESV) - All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the L ORD , and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. [28] For kingship belongs to the L ORD , and he rules over the nations. Ps. 45.6 (ESV) - Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness. Ps. 47.7-8 (ESV) - For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! [8] God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. Ps. 103.17-19 (ESV) - But the steadfast love of the L ORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, [18] to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. [19] The L ORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Ps. 105.13 (ESV) - . . . wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people. Ps. 145.9-13 (ESV) - The L ORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. [10] All your works shall give thanks to you, O L ORD , and all your saints shall bless you! [11] They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, [12] to make known to the children of man your [2] mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. [13] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. Isa. 2.2-5 (ESV) - It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the L ORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, [3] and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the L ORD , to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go the law, and the word of the L ORD from Jerusalem. [4] He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. [5] O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the L ORD .
