» Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, revealed in the majesty of his person, specifically in his perfect life, his leadership, and his submissive sonship in relation to his Father. » The Messianic identity of Jesus is further proven through the excellence of his prophetic teaching ministry, and through his mighty works of power which gave proof to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Please take as much time as you have available to answer these and other questions that the video brought out. Perhaps nothing reveals the majesty and greatness of Jesus’ Messianic character more than the beauty of his person, his matchless virtue, and works of power and grace. Be clear and concise in your answers, and where possible, support with Scripture! 1. Why is it important to establish for us, as believers, the authentic evidence establishing Jesus’ Messiahship from the Gospel accounts in the New Testament? 2. In what ways does Jesus’ perfect life and character give testimony to his identity as Messiah? What about the way in which he called and led his disciples? 3. How does the teaching of Jesus offer support to the idea that he is the Messiah? What is so special about his teaching and understanding that it clearly gives witness to his claim to be God’s anointed Servant? 4. How does the Gospel’s testimony of Jesus’ relationship to the Father support the claim that Jesus is the Messiah? What is special about their relationship that underscores the credibility of his claim to be the Messiah?
