does it mean to say that Adam is a special OT character type of Jesus Christ, by way of contrast ?

4. Compare and contrast the ways in which Adam and Christ are seen in Scripture. How does this comparison help us to understand better the role and function of Jesus as our federal head and source of the new redeemed humanity? 5. Why do scholars suggest that Joseph, the redeemer of his kinsman, is perhaps the most prolific and “on-point” OT character type of Jesus? What do all the linkages between Joseph’s life and that of Christ’s suggest about the nature of the unity and continuity of the OT and the NT in bearing a single coherent message about Christ and his coming Kingdom? What does it suggest about the inspiration of Scripture ? 6. Compare and contrast the ways in which Joseph’s experiences and encounters coincide with the personal journey of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah of God. How do the specific points of linkable connections help us to understand better the role and function of Jesus as the kinsman redeemer of his people? 7. In what sense can we say that Joshua’s life and calling connects with Jesus’ own life as an OT character type of Christ whose spiritual warfare resonates with Messiah’s role as the warrior of God? 8. Compare and contrast some of the ways in which Joshua and Christ are seen to both represent God as his appointed warriors, both as victorious warriors over the foes of God, and the divider of the spoils among God’s people. How does this comparison help us to understand better the role and function of Jesus as our captain in spiritual warfare today, the one who ultimately will reign victorious as King of kings, and Lord of lords? 9. Why do the character types, both those of the role of prophet, priest, and king, and the special character types of Adam, Joseph, and Joshua only provide comprehensive and not exhaustive pictures of the life and ministry of Christ? Why must we be careful to link the prefiguring characters in the OT to the full revelation of Christ in the NT in order to get the fullest picture of the Messiah?
