Prayer opens the way for the Word of God to run without let or hindrance, and creates the atmosphere which is favorable to the word accomplishing its purpose. Prayer puts wheels under God’s Word, and gives wings to the angel of the Lord “having the everlasting Gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.” Prayer greatly helps the Word of the Lord.
~ E. M. Bounds. The Necessity of Prayer . Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 1997.
“Prayer greatly helps the Word of the Lord.” To this we say, yes and amen! Select one of your classmates who will commit you to prayer, the burdens and applications on your heart, and ask them to lift up your requests to God throughout the week. Of course, your instructor is extremely open to walking with you on this, and your church leaders, especially your pastor, may be specially equipped to help you answer any difficult questions arising from your reflection on this study. Be open to God and allow him to lead you as he determines.

Reading Assignment
As usual, make sure that you set aside time to review the material in this lesson. Many difficult and deep concepts were shared here; do not leave your study to the last minute. Also, you ought to come with your reading assignment sheet containing your summary of the reading material for the week. By now, too, you must have selected the text for your exegetical project, and turn in your proposal for your ministry project.
