thinking or change the way you pray or relate to other believers, or unbelievers? Do you sense a deep commitment to the Great Commission? What is God calling you to be and do to make the maximum contribution you can to fulfilling it, right where you live and minister today? Spend some time asking the Holy Spirit to speak to you about these and other truths, and how God might want you to respond personally to them. Your life and ministry are open to being touched by this teaching, if you will be sensitive to search just where these truths can directly impact your life. Set aside time this week to spend meditating on the truths in this lesson, and ask God for insight in applying them. Be prepared to return next week ready to share your insights with the other learners in your class. Pray and ask God the Holy Spirit to give you insight into the breadth and the depth of the apostolic teaching on the nature of the doctrine of election, and how this truth can revolutionize and impact your life. Perhaps there are some specific needs which the Holy Spirit has surfaced through your study and discussion of this material. Be open to the Lord in prayer; find a partner in prayer who can share the burden and lift up your requests to God. Further, ask God to renew his vision for you in the Great Commission mandate. Ask him again to confirm to you your role in making disciples–is he asking you to go, to make disciples here, to plant a church, to pastor, to mentor and train young Christians, to change jobs, to move? Seek the Lord, and he will give you specific input as to what he wants you to do. Of course, your instructor is extremely open to walking with you on this, and your church leaders, especially your pastor, may be specially equipped to help you answer any difficult questions arising from your reflection on this study. Be open to God and allow him to lead you as he determines.
