3. As those who have been set free by God, we therefore are to stand against all things that produce oppression and bondage, especially those spiritually corrupt practices which reveal the devil’s will and commitment to destroy and enslave. As God’s agents, we are to do the works which make for the liberation of the orphan and the oppressed, Ps. 10.15-18.

4. As ambassadors of the Kingdom we are to pursue works that promote the release and deliverance from ungodly oppression and bondage, whether it is economic, cultural, political, or social.

a. As advocates of Christ’s freedom we must promote creative responses to bondage, and affirm the inherent value of human beings as unique and special, made in the image of God, worthy of being cherished and cared for.

b. We must strive to support those individuals and causes which coincide with God’s mandate of peace and freedom among human beings, Prov. 24.11-12.

B. Second, as ambassadors of Christ, we engage in works to display the Kingdom’s wholeness.

1. Without question, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus is a God who longs to establish wholeness among the broken and despised of the world, Ps. 146.

2. As ambassadors of Christ, those who have been made whole in Christ, we now stand against all things which produce discord, sickness, disease, suffering, and misery to other human beings everywhere.
