A. First, we do battle as soldiers of God by proclaiming the truth of God in Christ.

1. We are called to expose the lies and false notions of the enemy wherever they are found. The nature of spiritual warfare revolves around God’s truth, Rom. 3.4.

a. The devil’s key weapons are lies and deception, John 8.44.

b. Moreover, the devil through lying accusation and manipulation deceives the entire world, which lies under his limited, malevolent control, 1 John 5.19.

c. And in Revelation 12.9-10 we see that the devil is the arch deceiver and accuser of the entire world.

2. The Church proclaims the victory of Jesus Christ, unashamedly declaring the victory won through Jesus’ death on the cross.

a. Jesus defeated the principalities and powers through his death on the cross, Col. 2.15.

b. We declare God’s victory in Jesus Christ, 1 Cor. 15.57-58.

c. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, him whose name is higher than all others, who must reign until all enemies are placed under his feet, 2 Cor. 4.3-5.
