d. The Church is about the works of proclamation. Through our efforts of evangelism, teaching, publishing, church planting, and ministry we bear witness that the rule and reign of God has now come in Jesus, and that God is commanding all to repent and receive his grace in Christ, Acts 17.30-31.

B. Next, as soldiers of the Lamb, we labor to destroy the devil’s work.

1. Again, I would argue that the general testimony of the New Testament bears witness to the great fact that the Church in this current age is the Church Militant, doing battle with God’s enemies to frustrate and destroy the devil’s work.

2. We destroy his work by boldly presenting the Good News to the lost.

a. According to Romans 1.16-17, the Gospel is the very dunamis or power of God to save all those who believe, yes, even to break the power of the devil’s deception over their lives.
