Reading Assignment
Please read carefully the assignments above, and as last week, write a brief summary for them and bring these summaries to class next week (please see the “Reading Completion Sheet” at the end of this lesson). Also, now is the time to begin to think about the character of your ministry project, as well as decide what passage of Scripture you will select for your exegetical project. Do not delay in determining either your ministry or exegetical project. The sooner you select, the more time you will have to prepare! The Church of Jesus Christ are all those who through faith in Christ have experienced and been transformed by the grace of God. This transforming grace opens them up to worship and praise their mighty God of love, but it equally burdens them with a passion to share with others this marvelous story of Jesus and his love. In our next lesson we will focus on the Church’s mandate to give witness to Christ and his Kingdom through its actions and proclamation, and how God equips the Church to be his agent and representative in the world by his Spirit.
