4. Fourth, no one can call into question God’s elective choice of Jesus, Israel, or the Church. God’s election flows from his own sovereign purpose and choice, and is neither conditioned nor determined by external manipulation.

5. Fifth, God’s election is absolutely effective to the salvation of those whom he calls.

6. And lastly, the vivid description of the lostness of humankind is set against the plain and ready invitations that God gives to us to be saved. God’s election is God’s affair.
