(4) Titus 2.14 – . . . who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

e. When the people of God embrace his will, trusting and obeying his will from the heart, they together receive his ongoing leading and protection. (1) 2 Thess. 1.3-4 – We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. [4] Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring. (2) James 5.7-8 – Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. [8] You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. (3) Rev. 14.12 – Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
