though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
(3) Ps. 25.9 – He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.
(4) Ps. 73.24 – You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.
(5) Isa. 58.11 – And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. b. Jesus, as head of the Church and shepherd of God’s flock, leads his people into all his good will, John 10.3-5 – To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. [4] When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. [5] A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. c.
