8. Your zeal and commitment can spur a sleepy, frightened nation into action: David and his fight with Goliath, 1 Sam. 17.38-52

D. M AKE IT P LAIN . When we fight in unity, in our position, and with longsuffering courage together, we can win the fights to which we are called!

Romans 12:16 – Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.

1. We must fight as one, in unity, together, Ps. 133.1: Joshua and Jericho, Josh. 6.1-27; Gideon and his 300, Judges 7.1-25

2. We must not strive, but fight in our position, under our orders, for one another, John 13.34-35: Nehemiah and the people on the wall, Neh. 4.1- 23; cf. Phil. 1.27; 2.1-2; 1 Thess. 3.6-10
