Seeking to relate these truths to your own ministry through your church represents the core of this teaching. In thinking about the converting power of the Word of God, what specific challenges, issues, or situations are you facing now in ministry where these truths must be applied and understood? In all the issues surrounding urban ministry, perhaps none are as important as this critical issue: our confidence and ability in handling the Word of God, and its ability to transform and convert the lives of those to whom we share it. Concentrate on the various ministry opportunities you are involved in, and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you where and how you might be able to rethink situations or issues in light of the teaching of this lesson on the Word of God. As you consider your ministry project for this module, you can possibly use it to connect to these truths in a practical way. Seek the face of God for insight, and come back next week ready to share your insights with the other learners in your class. Undoubtedly you know of very specific examples and situations right now where you or those to whom you minister need to experience the converting and transforming power of the Word of God. It could be that some of these needs and situations have been made clearer through your study of the Word of God, and its ability to convert and transform. Do not hesitate to find a partner in prayer who can share the burden and lift up these specific requests for the Word’s converting power in your life and the life of others. Always remember that your instructor is extremely open to walking with you on this. Be assured, also, that your church leaders (especially your pastor) may be specially equipped to help you answer any difficult questions arising from your reflection on this study. Be open to God and allow him to lead you as he determines. Ask God to confirm his Word in signs and
