1. In Jesus the Kingdom has already come, Luke 17.20.

c. The rebellious prince, Satan, the great deceiver and blasphemer was wounded, crippled, bound, through Jesus’ death and resurrection.

2. The final consummation of the Kingdom is not yet.

a. The final destruction of the devil comes later, Rev. 20.

b. The Church engages in warfare with the enemy in this present time, Eph. 6.10-18.

c. The Second Coming or parousia (Greek for “Second Arrival”)

(1) Satan will be destroyed, his rule finally put down. (2) The full manifestation of God’s kingly power will be revealed in the glorification of the saints, and in a restored heaven and earth.
