2. In Jesus of Nazareth, the Passover of God, the fulfillment of God’s penalty on sin and forgiveness to his people is done.

B. As Ultimate Sacrifice and Great High Priest: the body and blood of Jesus

1. Jesus is the completion of the Levitical priesthood and sacrificial system of the old covenant.

2. Furthermore, Jesus stands as our one and final High Priest who sacrifices his own blood in the Tabernacle in the heavens before the Father.

1. Jesus as God’s Divine Warrior, through his suffering and death, defeats Satan, the curse, hell, and our punishment by bearing it in his own body.

2. Jesus bears further on the cross the penalty of our sin, and the power of evil to plague and destroy our lives.
