A. Jesus reencounters the healed blind man, 9.35
1. Jesus heard that the Pharisees had cast him out of the synagogue, 9.35.
2. The question of the hour: Do you believe in the Son of Man? , 9.35b.
3. The healed man’s dilemma: Who is he sir, that I might believe in him, 9.36.
4. Jesus’ direct reply: You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you , 9.37.
5. The response of the healed heart: Lord I believe, and he worshiped him, 9.38.
B. Jesus defines his express purpose in coming into the world: seeing and blindness, 9.39-41.
