(3) Jesus has sympathy for our sufferings , Heb. 4.15 – For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. b. God is not indifferent to our suffering and pain, even in the midst of those times where he has determined to glorify himself through our trouble. (1) 1 Pet. 5.6-7 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, [7] casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (3) Matt. 6.26 – Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (4) Luke 12.30-32 – For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. [31] Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. [32] “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (2) Ps. 34.15 – The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.

a. Isa. 53.3 – He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
