c. 1 Thess. 4.16-17 – For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

4. The result of his working: That where I am you may be also , 14.3b.

5. Jesus’ assurance: You guys already know the way to get where I am going, 14.4.

B. Jesus identifies himself as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, 14.5-7.

1. Judas’s admission: We don’t have a clue where Jesus is going, nor the way to get there, 14.5.

2. Jesus’ stunning revelation: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me, 14.6.

3. Knowing Jesus is knowing and seeing the Father, 14.7.

a. Phil. 2.6 – who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped.

b. Col. 1.15 – He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
