3. The analogy of childbirth: painful process, but a joyful delivery , 16.21
a. When a woman is giving birth: the reality of anguish associated with the process
b. When the baby is delivered, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy: delivery ends one phase, and begins another .
4. So then: You have sorrow now, but you will see me again with a joy that the world didn’t give and the world can’t take away , 16.22.
5. Asking of the Father: Whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you, 16.23.
a. In that day (the day of resurrection ?)
b. Until now, you’ve asked nothing in my name. Now ask and you will receive, and your joy will be made complete, 16.24.
