The Gospe l of John

a. 2 Thess. 2.13 – But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

b. James 1.21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

c. 1 Pet. 1.22-23 – Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, [23] since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.

5. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world , 17.18.

6. And for their sake, I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth, 17.19.

E. Jesus prays for all who believe (the Church), 17.20-26.

Rom. 12.5 – so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

1 Cor. 12.12 – For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. Gal. 3.28 – There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
