• What is the meaning of Christus Victor for my life today? What specific areas of my own life and situation cry out for the victory Christ won for us on the Cross and through the resurrection? What specific requests should I make to the Lord as I trust him to be victorious in my life? • Have I made Christ the center and focus of my spiritual life, i.e., have I obeyed the Apostle Paul’s instruction in Colossians 2.6-7: “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, [7] rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanks giving”? What other things do I tend to focus and depend on rather than my relationship with God through Christ? means to connect us with the biblical story of God in Christ? What things or pitfalls might be associated with a wrong use of the cycle (e.g., becoming legalistic, concentrating more on the day than on Jesus himself, etc.)? How can we emphasize the seasons of the Church Year without becoming legalistic or overly ritualized with it? • Do I personally use, or attend a small group and congregation that employs, the Church Year as a means to stay focused on Christ throughout the year?
