1. God loved his creation, Isa. 40.28-31; Ps. 19.1-3.

2. He covenanted to save it from the fall, Gen. 3.15; Gen. 12.1-3.

3. He promised that Messiah would come to earth, Micah 5.2; Jer. 23.5-6.

4. He prophesied that Messiah would die for our sins and win the victory, Heb. 2.9; Isa. 53.10-11.

5. All the world would be saved through him, Ps. 2.7-9; Ps. 22.27-28.

B. Element 2: Repentance and Faith

1. We must hear of God’s Love in Christ, John 3.16-17; 1 Pet. 3.18.

2. We must repent and turn to God, Mark 1.14-15; Acts 2.38-39.

3. We must confess Jesus as Lord with our mouths, Rom. 10.9-10; Matt. 10.32-33.

4. We must believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, John 11.25-27; John 6.39-40.

5. We are declared righteous (justified) by faith, 1 Cor. 6.11; Gal. 2.15-16.
