4. As the beginning of a new humanity he is the Last Adam, 1 Cor. 15.45-46; 1 Cor. 15.47-49.

5. As our High Priest, he intercedes for us in heaven, Heb. 4.14-15; Heb. 7.25-26.

I. Christ’s Harvest: Season after Pentecost – having all authority from his Father, Jesus has commissioned the Church to go and make disciples of all nations, showing and telling of his salvation to the world.

1. He is the Lord of the Harvest of souls today, Matt. 9.35-38; Matt. 4.19.

2. He alone is the Foundation we build upon, 1 Cor. 3.10-11; 1 Pet. 2.6-8.

3. Christ calls his leaders to serve his Church, John 15.16; 1 Cor. 1.27-29.

4. By the Spirit, he empowers his workers, 2 Tim. 1.11-12; 2 Tim. 4.17.

5. Through the Gospel, he is gathering his saints for the final day, Rev. 5.9-10; Rev. 7.9-10.
