B. His calling and gifts are irrevocable.
Rom 11.29 (ESV) – For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
1. If God has called you to something, you are bound to it.
2. God does not change his mind or revoke his calling.
3. You may choose not to use his gifts to you, but he will not take them back from you.
C. He always provides the necessary gifts, opportunities, and grace for his messengers to accomplish their task.
Phil. 2.12-13 (ESV) – Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, [13] for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. John 15.4-5 (ESV) – Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. [5] I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Eph. 1.3 (ESV) – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 2 Pet. 1.3-4 (ESV) – His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowl edge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, [4] by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
