advantage of all of the teaching resources you have in your own locale. You can select from a series of different options, some of which include purchasing curricula directly from The Urban Ministry Institute (see Appendices 12 and 13 for options). a. A Combination of Denominational, Professor-created, Self-written, or TUMI-provided courses. You may find a wealth of theological and biblical resources right in your own community through various mentors, professors, pastors, or other educators who can contribute to your own well-rounded curriculum. We suggest that you employ a standard curriculum, and use professor created or self-written courses as support. Our desire is that you find the appropriate theological resources to design the most appropriate training curriculum you can for your students. (Our recommended curricula options are below.) Please check with us when you have finalized your curriculum. In most cases we may be able to accept your course of study and recognize it as one of our Certificate programs. b. The Capstone Curriculum. You may elect to use the course material the we are preparing for the development of urban Christian leaders. Capstone is a training curriculum designed to help a learning group of students receive 32 hours of seminary-level training over a given period of time. All 16 modules may be applied to our Certificate in Christian Leadership Studies for credit at The Urban Ministry Institute (cf., Appendices 13.1, 13.2, and 14). c. The Foundations for Ministry Series. You may employ our self-directed study materials covering courses taught at The Urban Ministry Institute which can be applied for credit with us. These are discrete courses on a variety of subjects based in our four academic departments: Biblical Studies, Theology and Ethics, Christian Ministry, and Urban Mission. They are designed to be taught in groups, or as individual self-directed studies, and may be applied for credit (see Appendix 13.3 for details). 11. Raise monies and resources to support your satellite Institute, and execute financial procedures. The need to steward your resources is key, and we want to help you keep your programming accessible and affordable. As early as possible, communicate with potential donors who can help you raise initial support for your training center as early as possible. An important note: pay your site license fee as soon as possible. (Our support and aid are contingent on receiving this
