Critical Assumptions of Communicating Christ with Our Neighbors
• The Lord will accompany us as we go in His name. Matt. 28.18-20 – “Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” • The Lord will create divine appointments with those He directs us to meet. Acts 8.26-39 – “Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, ‘Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ This is desert. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, an enuch of great authority under Candace the Queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Then the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go near and overtake this chariot.’” • The Lord will give us the appropriate word for each person with whom we speak. Mark 13.9-11 – “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. And you will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry, beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But what ever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.” • The Lord will honor His word and our testimony of His grace with fruit. John 15.16 – “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
