Day 4
Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5.14-16 Lord, may your light shine in the darkness. May we, your people, be the bright spot in a hopeless time. May your light radiate through us and attract those who need comfort, love, truth, and salvation. May your love generate good works, kindness, and joy that bring glory to your name. Amen.
