Day 12

Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.” 1 Peter 2.1-3 Dear Father, I confess that I have said and thought things about others that were full of jealousy, anger, and bitterness. I know that if I am to truly represent you in thought and deed, I need to renew my mind. I need to fill up on spiritual food, your Word. Your Word is full of life and light. Psalm 119.103 says, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Help me, Lord, to get rid of things in my life that cause me sin. Create in me a desire to feed on your Word and meditate on your truths. Amen.
