Day 13

Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12.1-3 Lord Jesus, we come before your presence trusting and knowing that we are not alone. We know we are encompassed by a great cloud of witnesses. Please help us let go of all the sin that surrounds us, the sin that doesn’t allow us to be filled with you. May we continue this path with our eyes focused on you, the author and finisher of our faith. We know you sit at the right hand of the Father. I ask that our faith increases in order to keep moving forward. May your strength be perfected in our weakness, Father. By faith, I believe and receive it in the name of Jesus. Amen.
