Day 30
Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6.10-13 Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. We thank you for giving us salvation through your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving us the provision of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us and guides us through our struggles in our lives. We thank you for allowing us to wear the armor of faith by which we can stand firm against the evil of this world. Furthermore, it is when we trust in the victory of our Lord and Savior on the cross that we can understand that it is not by our power or strength but it is by your Holy Word and your Holy Spirit. And, if you are with us, who will be against us? May the glory and praise be yours and yours only for ever and ever. Amen.
