Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5.13-14 Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that at times it is hard to love my fellow sisters and brothers. I confess the times I have said or thought things toward others that are not loving or kind. Help me to show your love and mercy to everyone I encounter. Thank you for loving me even when I am sinful and selfish. Grant me the power, through your Spirit, to love others as you have loved me. I praise you and thank you for your unconditional love. Amen.
