2. The teacher builds on the foundation of the teaching of Jesus Christ, 1 Cor. 3.10-11.

3. We train people on the basis of the initial truths necessary to grow up in Jesus Christ, Heb. 6.1.

4. The teacher entrusts the tradition that he received to other faithful and reliable people who can teach others also, 2 Tim. 2.2.

5. Teaching is an integral part of the pastoral ministry, to edify (build up) those who receive our teaching, Eph. 4.11-12.
