The general elements associated with the consummation of the Kingdom of God are the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment, and God becoming All-in-all. Our objectives for this second segment of God’s Reign Consummated is to enable you to: • Define the essential elements related to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to consummate the Kingdom of God in the earth. • Articulate clearly the teachings of the Scriptures associated with the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. • Recite the final condition of the consummated Kingdom, when God Almighty becomes our All-in-all.

A. The coming of Jesus Christ (the parousia ) will certainly occur, and will be definite.

1. Parousia , which can be translated as either “presence” or “coming” is oftentimes associated with Jesus’ return, which he mentioned often in his teaching, such as in Matthew 24.30 and 26.64.

2. Peter refers to the definiteness of Jesus coming, Acts 3.19-21.
