And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. [21] And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” Make sure that your students are seeing the central role that the righteousness of Jesus Christ played in his claim to be the Messiah. His matchless life and character add weighty evidence to the case being made for Jesus’ Messiahship revealed in the nature of his life, as well as his teaching and works. Make sure that you highlight this important fact as you lead the students in reviewing the material and Scriptures contained in the first video segment. Let your dialogue ensure that they are tracking with the lesson aims of the first segment, and that they are comprehending the richness of the case being made in the Gospels for the association of Jesus with the Messiah. While the heart of our aim is to concentrate on the materials which support Jesus as the Messiah contained in the Gospels, there is an abundance of materials referring to the Messiahship of Jesus in the books of Acts through Revelation.
