Represent Retreat Book
Each devotional is only one page long. If you are in a rush, you can do it in under five minutes. If you have more time, try meditating on the Scripture, re-reading it, and asking the Lord to show you how you can apply his Word to your life. We have also included three longer devotionals with spiritual exercises for deeper thought—using the life of the Apostle Peter as a guide. The focus of this book is representation and what it means for us to live as ambassadors of Christ. How do we live in such a way that our lives reflect the very person of Christ? We invite you to use the prayers and Scriptures to draw you deeper into a life-changing relationship with our Savior. It is only through abiding in Christ that we are truly able to represent him. We have also included a study/teaching outline in the appendices section of this book for those who would like to go deeper into this theme. Our hope and prayer is that this devotional will bring you closer to our Lord and Savior. Whether you have been studying the Word all your life or just a few weeks, this book is for you! Tuck this book in your work bag, purse, or car. Let it be a visual reminder that the Lord God of the Universe wants to spend time with YOU. Tina Busenitz World Impact Director of Retreats
A Word About the Apostle Peter Peter often said the wrong thing. He was rebuked by Jesus. He acted rashly. Despite his easily identifiable flaws, Christ renamed him Peter—the one he would build his church upon (Matthew 16.18). Peter was the first to confess his sins to Jesus and recognize him as the Messiah.
