Day 26

Take a moment and pray before reading the following passage. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to the truth of his Word. If you have time, read the passage more than once—underlining things that stand out to you. “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3.12-14 Father God, thank you for your sovereignty and your grace. Thank you, Lord, for forgiving us when we were yet in our sin. As we came to you in our attitude of repentance, you didn’t leave us in that state of mind. You redeemed us and for that we say thank you, Lord. Father God, continue to dress us daily with compassion, kindness, meekness, and patience. Lord, please continue to be the compass of our hearts showing us that since you have forgiven us, teach us how to forgive ourselves and those that have trespassed against us in society. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
